A repeat result would certainly affect our rivals’ confidence heading into our league meeting less than three weeks later. The stakes are high and the tension is palpable, this is not just about a place in the fifth round, it’s about proving who truly reigns supreme.
The match is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off today, Friday, January 27, 2023, and both teams are reportedly injury-free. However, Pep Guardiola will have plenty of selection decisions to make with players like John Stones and Ruben Dias returning to fitness, and Joao Cancelo’s recent poor displays. Erling Haaland will start for City, but his supporting cast remains to be seen.
