Shaktar and Atleti’s Smoke-Filled Transfer Demands

Hey, can you believe it’s already the 9th of January and we’re already in the boring phase of the transfer window? It’s wild how these broke clubs are trying to play hardball in the midst of a global recession. Speaking of boring, have you noticed how all these older journalists who used to fawn over Mourinho, Conte, Klopp, and Ferguson are now suddenly acting like Arteta is the worst thing to happen to Arsenal? It’s funny how the same journalists who used to criticize Arteta are now suddenly acting like he’s the problem.

But you know what’s not boring? Seeing Arsenal finally being relevant again. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a team that’s worth talking about, and I’m loving every minute of it. Even if it means putting up with annoying journalists and clubs trying to squeeze us for every penny.

Speaking of annoying clubs, have you heard about Shaktar trying to charge us an absurd amount for Mudryk? And Atleti wanting a crazy amount for Felix? It’s like they’re smoking something. But you know what? I have a feeling we’ll walk away from those deals and something else will happen. You can’t keep a player against their will in 2023, and if Shaktar turns down a £50m offer for Mudryk, it could end up costing them in the long run.

On the subject of transfers, it was interesting to see that Benfica is accusing Chelsea of being disrespectful in their negotiations for Enzo. They acted like they were willing to pay the release clause, but now they want to negotiate. I guess we’ll see how that plays out.

And how about that Chelsea game the other night? Talk about a disaster. Kepa had a terrible game, letting the ball slip past him and Omari Hutchinson came on and barely did anything. It’s not looking good for Potter and Chelsea. But at least Arsenal is making a positive impact with their NO MORE RED campaign to raise awareness about knife violence in London. It’s great to see them partnering with adidas and working to create safe spaces for young people to play sports and have access to role models. Here’s hoping they can make a difference
