Hello, how are you all? Let me tell you, the North London Derby was blazing! This is your boy Naseem. Arsenal triumphed, increasing their advantage over the competition’s leaders to a huge eight points and reiterating their claim to the title. But let’s be honest, it’s not only the gap that’s impressive—we currently own a 14-point lead over Tottenham in fifth place, despite having played one fewer game. What a show of dominance!
However, the action didn’t end with the game; the fallout was equally as thrilling. Granit Xhaka was compelled to intervene when our guy Aaron Ramsdale received a boot to the back from a Spurs supporter. However, Mikel Arteta was quick to react and dashed over to take his players away so they could join the Arsenal fans in their celebration. They certainly had a lot to celebrate, let me tell you. It was also the greatest lead at this point in the season since they last won the league with “The Invincibles” in 2003–2004. This was the first league double over Spurs since 2013–2014. This is their highest point total after 18 games, at 47, and they’re really raising the bar with this performance.
But let’s not forget, last season’s north London derby was a different story. Arsenal was brittle and Tottenham overwhelmed them. But this time, it was Spurs getting booed off while Arsenal are undeniably the title favorites. And even though they still have to play Manchester City twice in the league, they can’t let up.
As for Spurs, I’m sure Antonio Conte will have some choice words for them. But honestly, it’s not just Lloris’ blunder that cost them the game, it’s Conte’s ultra-conservative approach that played right into Arteta’s hands. And let’s be real, Lloris has been a liability this season with four goals directly gifted by him and increasing errors. But, to be fair, they did play better in the second half, as per usual.
Overall, Spurs suffered a humiliation, as the first half saw them completely outplayed. And to top it all off, Martin Odegaard, who was deserving of man of the match, was not marked. But let’s not forget that Ramsdale also made some outstanding saves. But in the end, Arsenal had the trophy, and it’s obvious that Conte’s strategies were completely ineffective.
In conclusion, Arsenal is on fire and Tottenham is feeling the heat. It’s not looking good for them, but as always, it’s a game of surprises. But one thing is for sure, Arsenal has set the bar high and they’re not letting up
